HOW IT WORKS:

Privates are run by appointment only; complete the “Private Lesson Registration Form” below to begin our registration process.

Cost: $20/30 minutes or $35/60 minutes. We also offer a “duet discount” for two participants in the same session: $25/30 minutes or $40/60 minutes. Fees are paid directly to the teaching artist at the start of each lesson. Our artists accept cash, check, or Venmo and will give you their personal information (phone number, Venmo handle, etc) at your first lesson.

Our privates are open to all ages and run throughout the year as either fixed weekly appointments or scheduled “drop-ins".

Upon your registration, we will match you with one of our qualified staff members, who will work with you on whichever skills you request. East End administration will facilitate the scheduling of your first private lesson, but all subsequent lessons will be scheduled directly with the teaching artist.

Typical private requests include one-to-one work on:

  • Vocal coaching

  • Dance technique training (in any style)

  • Acting coaching (ie. scene study, audition coaching, character development, etc.)

  • Piano lessons

Participants in private lessons will have the option to showcase their progress in our annual summer showcase.

Please note: Out of respect for the time of our teaching artists, if you cancel your private lesson within 2 hours of your appointment, you will be charged the full lesson price.

Once your form has been submitted, you will be contacted by an East End representative to confirm your registration.

FAQs

Question: What can I do if the private lesson instructor that I want is full and is not accepting new students? 

  • Answer: If your preferred instructor is not accepting new students you can either: 1) choose a different instructor who teaches the same content, or 2) join the private lesson waitlist (the button to join is located underneath the teaching artists’ availability).
