New Security Measures at Shows

If you’ve joined us for a show over the past three years, you’ve seen firsthand how much our audiences have grown across all of our programs, and we are so grateful for the energy, enthusiasm, and support that fills the room each time. As our community continues to expand, so does our responsibility to protect it, and we are excited to implement a thoughtful step towards achieving that with trained, professional security personnel on site for all performances moving forward.

As we kick off this new integration, we will all feel a slight shift in “front of house” operations for a bit, so we have put together some FAQs to help you prepare!

  • Door 10 will be the new entry door to the auditorium (previously, we have used Door 9). Upon entering Door 10, all patrons will go through the following screening in the foyer:

    • A brief bag check (there are no size restrictions for bags at this time)

    • A handheld wand scan

Ticket purchasing and ticket scanning will take place after you have completed the security screening.

  • Yes. Any patrons who step out and come back into the space (during intermission, during the show, etc) will undergo the screening again. Security personnel will be present from the “doors open” time through performance.

  • Although we will have two guards performing security checks, it may add a few extra minutes to your check-in time as the line collects outside (especially as we all get used to the new process). We recommend dressing appropriately in case you are slowed down outside in a line, and arriving slightly earlier than you normally would to ensure a smooth and relaxed entry experience.

  • We have partnered with New England Security Solutions, a professional security services company that provides trained personnel for public events throughout the region. Their team members are experienced, licensed, and trained in event safety procedures and emergency response protocols.

Their presence is intended to be professional and reassuring, providing an added layer of care so that our audiences, performers, volunteers, and families can focus fully on enjoying the experience.

A Your Stage Production

Auditions: April 2026 ~ Performances: August 2026

What’s it about?

Firebringer is a comedy musical written by Team Starkid. It tells the tale of how the first group of humans discovered and harnessed the power of fire. All of the ancient humans you learned about in history classes make an appearance: Ducker – the duck god’s prophet; Tiblyn – the woman who held up the sky; Chorn – the… I don’t really know what she was; Smelly-Balls – the man with… you remember. And of course, Zazzalil and Jemilla, the duo who changed the course of humanity with absolutely no conflict between them. No conflict at all.

It might have some inaccuracies here and there, but we can confirm that this is almost word-for-word how the discovery of fire went down – words and songs both included.

Content Warning: Because of its commitment to accuracy, we must warn you that this show will contain A LOT of cursing, wildly immature and inappropriate jokes, more cursing, and even more immature and inappropriate jokes. Don’t blame us, blame the first tribe. Please use your discretion when purchasing tickets for children under the age of 15.

A Junior Stage Production

Auditions: June 2026 ~ Performances: October 2026

What’s it about?

It's our show now, kid. The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.

With music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by Tony Award-nominated pair Anthony King and Scott Brown, Beetlejuice was nominated for eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical. A viral "sucks-yes" on social media, this musical struck a chord with young theatre lovers who adored its unabashed humor and emotional honesty.
