Private Lessons
East End currently offers private lessons in vocal performance, acting, dance, piano, and guitar. These lessons are open to all ages and are conducted by our qualified staff of teaching artists. Each spring, East End hosts a Performing Arts Showcase, where our private lesson students have the opportunity to show parents and friends the progress that they’ve made over the course of the year!

Camp FAQs
-
Answer: Currently, we are only offering camps for grades 1-5. Opportunities for older children include the First Act and Junior Stage programs, as well as our private lessons.
-
Answer: All camp sessions are closed to family and parents. We find that children focus best when their parents & guardians leave them with us in the way that they do for school. If you or your child would like a preview of our space, you can take a "virtual tour" of our space by clicking here.
-
Answer: In each camp, participants will learn about theatre and improv as they work together to rehearse a one-act play, which will be performed for family and friends at the end of the session. Each day will be filled with theatre games & activities, direct instruction, learning blocking and lines, craft activities, and more.
-
Answer: We have 4 staff (2 instructors and 2 counselors) per camp, with a participation cap of 25 campers.
-
Answer: Camp staff are not only trained actors, but they are also trained educators. Our camp instructors are teachers in the K-12 public school system, and are able to accommodate diverse learning styles, learning needs, etc throughout the camp. Camp counselors are teens who have participated in East End’s camps and/or productions in the past and who have gone though East End’s internal training.
-
Answer: Absolutely! Theatre camp is a great way to unlock a love for acting, without the pressure of producing a high-stakes production at the end.
-
Answer: Our theatre camps are focused on acting & straight plays. For participation in musical theatre, check out our First Act program.
-
Answer: It is helpful if your child can read, but not essential. We can give them a part without lines, if needed. Mainly, your child needs to be able to follow directions, work with other children in a group, etc.
-
Answer: We leave it up to the parents’ discretion to determine whether a child is mature enough to handle camp. You know your child best, so if you think that they are ready, then we are happy to work with them.
-
Answer: Registration opens the first week of January each year for both April and summer camps. A nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve a slot in any of East End’s camps. Once camp sessions begin to fill, we will open a waitlist that families can join, in case more slots become available.
-
Answer: The chances that you child could come off the wait list are high! We are typically able to successfully enroll between 5-10 wait list kids once we get closer to the start date of the camp.
-
Answer: We normally open in enrollment in January at the start of the new year. Follow us on social media or join the mailing list on our website to see the flyers as soon as they’re released.
