About the Program:

Ages: Overtones: 17-26 ~ Junior Tones: 12-16

Participation Fee: $20/month

Background: East End boasts two traveling a capella groups: The Overtones (ages 18+) and The Junior Tones (ages 12-17). The mission of both groups is to create an encouraging learning space for youth and young-adult musicians to challenge themselves and grow in all aspects of singing, while promoting healthy singing and camaraderie. Members meet weekly to rehearse and collaborate to determine music line-ups.

Audition Information

Both the Overtones and the Junior Tones are now holding “rolling” auditions. This means that interested individuals can audition at any time (rather than waiting for a specific audition date). If you are interested in auditioning, please email the following to programs@eastendtheatreri.com:

• A statement of interest

• A performance resume that outlines your vocal experience (private lessons, classes, performance in a group, etc).

• A video recording of 2 songs of your choice, sung a capella

  • Songs should each be roughly 1 minute long.

Once you have submitted an audition, it will be reviewed by our program directors, who will then be in touch with their decision.

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals are held weekly on Saturday evenings at the East End rehearsal space in East Providence.
